These lesions typically manifest initially on the face and subsequently spread throughout the body.The incubation period of zika virus disease is estimated to be 3-14 days, which is the time from exposure to the onset of symptoms.The majority of individuals who contract Zika do not exhibit any symptoms.The living or visiting history of symptomatic patients in areas where zika virus infection is spreading and/or where aedes mosquitoes are present can be used to suspect zika infection, as there is no specific treatment.Laboratory tests of blood or other bodily fluids, such as urine or semen, are necessary for a confirmed diagnosis of zika virus infection.
