Description

This radiation shielding is transparent and is composed of a lead-free sheet of acrylic copolymer that contains bismuth to provide X-ray shielding properties that are comparable to those of actual lead. In the window, there is a slight yellow tint as a result of the shielding material. A shielding equivalent of 0.5mm of Pb is provided by each ½” thick sheet.input:

This transparent shielding is employed in viewing windows to offer a safe protective barrier against x-ray radiation for medical, technical, and research applications.input:
output:Optimal shielding against radiation from equipment operating in the 80 to 300 kV range is provided by X-ray windows, which have a high bismuth content. This is the same lead-free acrylic that is employed in our mobile x-ray barriers.input:
output:In x-ray scanning applications, transparent radiation shielding is frequently implemented to facilitate the observation of windows. Some of the other prevalent applications are as follows:Medical X-Ray Radiology Chiropractic X-ray Dental X-ray Mammography, fluoroscopy, angiography, CT (Computerized Tomography), PET (Positron Emission Tomography), nuclear medicine, X-ray security screenings, and MRI are all diagnostic imaging procedures.Control rooms for nuclear facilitiesNDT Testing Facilities
