Geno/Grinder® - Automated Tissue Homogenizer and Cell Lyser

The Geno/Grinder® is a high-throughput, automated cell lyser and plant and animal tissue homogenizer. It is equipped with an adjustable clamp that can accommodate a wide variety of sample vials, including centrifuge tubes ranging from 2mL to 50mL and deep-well titer plates of up to six wells. It is specifically engineered to facilitate rapid cell disruption, cell lysis, and tissue homogenization through the use of bead beating. This facilitates the rapid and effective extraction of nucleic acids, proteins, and other molecules. The new Geno/Grinder model features a password-protected, touch-screen control panel that allows the user to program the run time, rate, cycles, and pause time.

There is a comprehensive selection of Kryotech® accessories that are designed to preserve temperature-sensitive samples, including RNA and proteins. Additionally, the Geno/Grinder is acknowledged as an exceptional automatic axial extractor. It is the optimal instrument for the QuEChERS method, which is employed to extract pesticide residues and other organic compounds.

Traditional sample preparation methods are outperformed by the Geno/Grinder in terms of increased throughput, improved extraction efficiency, and reproducibility. Additionally, a comprehensive selection of pre-loaded sample vials for various sample types is accessible for rapid and effortless setup.

Applications encompass tissue homogenization, DNA/RNA research and extraction, cell lysis, pesticide residue extraction, protein extraction, biofuel research, and QuEChERS.

Animal tissue, plant tissue, cell cultures, fruit, cannabis, seeds, yeast, and bacteria comprise typical samples.
