Description

The FHK total knee replacement with an asymmetrical rotating spacer is a unique prosthesis that closely matches the knee’s natural biomechanics as a result of the medialization of its center of rotation.

This asymmetrical rotation enables the tibia to automatically rotate internally during flexion, thereby reducing patellar stresses through kinematic alignment of the extensor apparatus and reinforcing its action.

There are two versions of the patellar prosthesis:

– inlay,
– resurfacing.

Tibial anchoring pins are available in two lengths and two diameters, contingent upon bone quality.

Instrumentation:FHK Asymmetric employs the same fundamental instrumentation as the rest of the FHK knee replacement range, with the exception of a few specific instruments, to facilitate a rapid and straightforward initial implementation:

– an asymmetric spacer impactor,- PE trials – left and right,– templates for the tibia that are asymmetric.

The FHK instrumentation, which is arranged in four trays, provides the user with the autonomy to make intraoperative decisions:

– selecting the cut order,
– selecting the femoral reference,

– selecting the femoral cuts,

– selecting the tibial tunnel.input:
output:Components and materials:

– The tibial and femoral implants are composed of CoCr (Cobalt Chrome).– The liners are composed of UHMWPE polyethylene (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene).- T40 titanium spray coating is applied to the inner surface of the cementless femoral components that are compatible with asymmetric FHK, and a hydroxyapatite coating is applied to the secondary fixation points.
