Sheep Reactivity
Specificity – This kit is constructed from a matched pair of mAbs that facilitate the precise detection of sheep IL-5.

PerformanceSheep PBMC were incubated for 40 hours in the presence (100,000 cells/well) or absence (200,000 cells/well) of PMA/ionomycin, and the number of cells secreting IL-5 was analyzed using ELISpot.

Description of the analyte
T and NK cells are the primary producers of interleukin 5 (IL-5), a pleiotropic cytokine. The survival, differentiation, and chemotaxis of eosinophils are specifically regulated by IL-5. However, IL-5 was initially distinguished by its capacity to facilitate the growth and terminal differentiation of B cells.
