The immunochromatographic technology is the foundation of the test. The swab sample is added to the sample pad by way of the cap, which is filled with dilution buffer.
From there, the sample migrates into the conjugate pad, where it releases anti-Candida antibodies that are conjugated to blue-colored latex beads. The recently formulated Candida antigen-antibody conjugateThe complex advances further along the nitrocellulose membrane strip. The immobilized anti-Candida antibodies capture the formed complex on the support membrane, resulting in the formation of a signal line.
A biological reaction will occur and the result will be positive if Candida is present in the swab sample. A blue line will be apparent in the test line region (T) of the membrane. The test is equipped with a control line (C) that implements a built-in control system.
