In situations where radiation protection is necessary, lead bricks provide a guarantee of safety. Gamma knife radiosurgery units, high dose radiation (HDR), and multi-modality rooms are among the applications in which our lead bricks have been put to use. Lead is the most practical and appropriate material for a robust shielding system in these environments, as it is necessary to achieve the appropriate level of radiation protection with a thickness of over 10 mm. We offer a variety of standard sizes of lead bricks, as well as the flexibility to create custom sizes to accommodate the specific requirements of any customer. Typically, they are kept to a manageable weight of 5 kg for safety and ease of on-site construction. However, in certain cases, they may weigh up to 26 kg, depending on the project requirements. It is crucial to note that all of the lead bricks we provide adhere to the BS 4513 standards for lead shielding and the BS 3909 standards for ingot lead for radiation shielding.input:

These blocks, which are also referred to as interlocking bricks or chevron blocks, are constructed with interlocking v-shaped edges, which eliminates the potential for leaks at corners, edges, or curves. This interlocking feature also facilitates the development of a construction system that is highly adaptable and versatile, enabling the construction of complete wall/ceiling projects in virtually any size, shape, or thickness. Lead chevron bricks enable the construction of structures that exceed 50 mm in thickness, thereby satisfying the most stringent radiation safety standards, through the use of multiple layers. Produced in accordance with ISO 7212:1986 or ISO 9401-1:1991, depending on the thickness. Linear accelerator treatment facilities, proton beam therapy units, PET/CT facilities, and brachytherapy suites may necessitate the construction of complete bunkers.
