Description

Utilizing either static or kinetic perimetry, the AP-600 Automated Perimeter is a contemporary diagnostic device that facilitates the rapid and precise evaluation of a patient’s visual field. This is one of numerous test strategies that are available. In static perimetry, the visual field of the patient is evaluated by briefly projecting a stimulus of known size, brightness, and location onto the interior surface of a roughly hemispherical bowl. The bowl illumination is automatically adjusted to achieve the desired contrast between the stimulus and the surrounding area. The retina’s sensitivity threshold in a specific region can be established using the AP-600, which also facilitates a rapid screening test. The reliability of the test results is enhanced by the numerous internal mechanisms that are integrated into perimeter software. The operator is continuously provided with detailed information regarding the test progress from the screen, and the testing of a patient is conducted automatically. The intuitive navigation of the available options is facilitated by the user-friendly and user-friendly interface. The user has the ability to view and analyze test results in a variety of presentation methods, such as regression analysis.

The patient’s fixation performance is monitored using one of two possible methods: One method is the Heijl-Krakau technique, which involves the random presentation of stimuli in the blind spot region. The second one is predicated on the built-in digital camera, which enables eye detection during the examination and during the adjustment of the patient’s position. It enables continuous automatic control of the fixation as a result of the pupil position auto-detection. In both scenarios, the operator is continuously informed of the patient’s fixation performance.
