Interchangeable units enable the simultaneous monitoring of multiple animals: As one subject is being scanned, the next subject can be sedated, and its temperature and heart rate can be monitored and recorded. The animal is subsequently loaded into the scanner, which is equipped with a dedicated monitoring unit, thereby optimizing the entire preparation process.
