In the past, it was difficult to compare the image quality of conventional and digital biopsy mammography units due to the fact that the digital system's field of view is typically significantly smaller than the 24 x 30 cm field of view of conventional mammography units. In order to ensure that all objects are captured, the user must relocate the Mammographic Accreditation Phantom to a variety of positions on the biopsy units, as specified by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
