Laparoscopic Surgical Clip

A non-bioabsorbable, non-metallic, and sterile clasp that is intended for permanent occlusion by being implanted around a blood vessel or tissue bundle.

Typically, it is constructed from plastic materials, such as polyoxymethylene (POM), which is more commonly referred to as Delrin. It may also be equipped with a self-locking catch. It is typically not intended for fallopian tube occlusion, but it may be employed for ligation in open and endoscopic (e.g., laparoscopic) surgeries. It is not me.
