The Bright Clini-RF is a compact, ultra-low-temperature freezer that is free-standing and has a top-opening design. It is designed to rapidly freeze tissue specimens in preparation for cryotomy or storage, and it is a viable alternative to liquid nitrogen freezing systems. Two cylindrical chambers are located within the Clini-RF. The upper chamber is maintained at -40°C, while the lower chamber is maintained at -80°C.input:

Seven-day timer
The Clini-RF is equipped with a seven-day timer to facilitate energy conservation. This implies that the Clini-RF can operate in a “standby” mode, with both the upper and lower chambers operating at -40°C, during periods of inactivity, thereby conserving energy. The lower chamber can be cooled to -80°C and the device can be reverted to its standard operating mode at the commencement of the workday.input:
