Description of the ProductThe PFT System is a comprehensive evaluation system for the respiratory and lung function of animals. It is capable of measuring FEV, FVC, FEV0.1/FVC, FEV0.2/FVC, FEF, FRC, EF50, and other indicators, as well as airway resistance and lung compliance. Other sizes for larger animals can be customized to meet the needs of customers. It is suitable for use with mice, rats, guinea pigs, and other animals.

The animal must undergo tracheotomy and be anesthetized during the experiment. The system includes a built-in ventilator that can automatically regulate the breathing pattern of the animals and coordinate with the lung function test of various modes.

Preclinical studies of COPD, pulmonary interstitial disease, pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis, and other diseases, as well as drug evaluation in respiratory pharmacology research and general pharmacology research, are frequently conducted using the PFT system.

By detecting the airway and bronchus, the pressure difference between the pleura in the airways of the internal pressure (across lung pressure) is obtained to obtain physical indicators such as airflow velocity, airway resistance, and lung compliance, in accordance with Boyle’s law.
