Description

PATHFAST™ ascertains the mass of hs Trop I, NTproBNP, D-Dimer, hsCRP, Myoglobin, and CK-MB from a single whole blood sample. The therapeutic decision is facilitated by the quantitative data of the parallel analyses, which provide results within minutes. The foundation for a secure on-site diagnosis for patients with acute coronary syndrome, suspected coronary heart insufficiency, venous thromboembolism, inflammation, and myocardial injury.input:
output:PATHFAST™ D-Dimer is a chemiluminescent enzyme immunoassay that is designed to quantify the concentration of D-Dimer in whole blood or plasma. PATHFAST™ D-Dimer is employed to facilitate the diagnosis of coagulation system activation processes, such as pulmonary embolism (PE) and deep vein thrombosis (DVT). The formation of D-dimer-containing fibrin degradation fragments (XDP) is the consequence of plasmin-induced lysis of crosslinked fibrin. D-dimer is a specific marker of the degradation of factor XIIIa-crosslinked fibrin and an indirect early marker of the activation of coagulation and clot formation. In clinical conditions that are associated with the activation processes of the coagulation system, such as DVT, PE, and DIC, the plasma concentration of D-dimer is elevated. If the D-dimer concentration is below the threshold value established by numerous clinical studies, it is feasible to exclude DVT or PE in patients who are suspicious for venous thromboembolism. D-dimer measurement is also useful in the diagnosis and monitoring of DIC.
