Screw Cup SC
Screw cup system without cementMore robust bone lamellae are produced by thin thread flanks and large pitches. A large bone application in the thread base is particularly facilitated by the combination of large thread distances and a good cutting-in. The load is transmitted in a uniform manner, without any concentrations of load on the thread flanks.
Shape from the outsideThe subchondral bone structures remain unaltered as a result of the anatomical external shape of the Screw Cup SC®. These are frequently destroyed in screw sockets that are conical in shape. The screwing of the screw cup also enables the free intraoperative decision for optimal socket position, which is a significant advantage, particularly in the ceramic-ceramic articulation.
Bone structure that is cancellous
A central bone defect can be easily filled with cancellous bone due to the large bottom opening. This establishes the foundation for the development of bone in the socket base. A lid is then used to close the opening. A clamping mechanism ensures that this is securely attached to the threaded SC®.
Cutting-inMany self-tapping edges and thin thread flanks decrease the force necessary to cut the thread. The bony implant bed is smoother and softer where thread flanks with opposing cutting angles intersect. By selecting this thread parameter, the Screw Cup SC® can be inserted in a safe and straightforward manner.
In-depth
Special flutes penetrate the bone layer once the Screw Cup SC® establishes a strong implant-bone connection in the thread base. This results in a substantial increase in the insertion torque. Consequently, the surgeon receives tactile feedback regarding the final and accurate screwing depth.
