MIETHKE proSA®Gravitational valve that can be adjusted to treat hydrocephalus

The MIETHKE proSA® Shunt System is the first generation of adjustable gravitational valves that enable postoperative adaptation to the unique requirements of the patient in the upright body position. [1, 2]

It provides effective protection against overdrainage by means of a large opening pressure range of 0-40 cmH2O that is individually and continuously adjustable. [3, 4]

The pressure level can be easily adjusted without the need for X-rays, which can be stressful for the patient. This is made possible by the patented verification and adjustment instruments. [3, 4, 5, 6]input:
